Friends of Heritage Opera

Exclusive benefits

Priority booking

Friends are informed before anyone else of future events in the newsletter (see below).

10% off all tickets

Friends are entitled to 10% off all tickets (except exclusive Friends' events). The discount applies only to each Friend's own ticket and is not transferable. If Friends join later in the same year that they have already booked ticket(s), they will receive a 10% refund in retrospect.

Seat reservations

Friends may specify exactly where they would like to sit in a particular venue. Each seat is labelled with the Friend's name.

Complimentary programmes

Complimentary programmes will be set aside at the front of house. Each programme is labelled with the Friend's name.

Exclusive DVDs

Friends are sent DVDs of recent complete performances Heritage Opera free-of-charge. These DVDs are not available to the general public.

Regular newsletter

Following the success of the first two issues of the Heritage Opera newsletter in 2007, the newsletter will continue to be issued quarterly (in February, May, August and November), but only to the Friends of Heritage Opera. The newsletter contains in-depth information about forthcoming events including articles on singers, venues and behind-the-scenes news.

Acknowledgement

All Friends are acknowledged in Heritage Opera programmes and on the Heritage Opera website, unless they request not to be.

Rehearsal access

Friends may observe Heritage Opera rehearsals by prior arrangement. Please note that this benefit is only available to Friends who have already booked tickets for the same production. Heritage Opera reserves the right to decline access to rehearsals. Rehearsal times and venues are available to Friends on request.

Exclusive events

Friends are offered the opportunity to attend exclusive events, including pre-performance receptions, opera talks, 'meet the artists' and an annual dinner (including live operatic entertainment, of course!). These events will be announced to Friends in the newsletter. Please note that there will usually be an additional charge for these events.

Subscriptions

New Friends’ subscriptions last for the rest of the calendar year in which they were taken out and are renewable in the new year. Depending on the number of subscriptions and Heritage Opera’s priorities, subscription money will be used to enhance Heritage Opera productions, for example by funding an orchestra. The allocation of funds is described in the newsletters and programmes.
